Locks and car alarm
Switching off the alarm if tripped
If the alarm has been triggered (direction
indicators flashing and siren sounding) it
can be turned off by pressing one of the
buttons on the remote control or, if you are
sitting in the car, by turning the ignition to
position 3 (see below).
Turns off lights and siren. Unlocks
car.
Turns off lights and siren. Car
remains locked.
Turns off lights and siren. Unlocks
luggage compartment.
Turns off lights and siren. Turns on
exterior and cabin lighting. Car
remains locked.
If sitting in the car: Turn the remote
control to position 3 in the ignition
switch.
NOTICE
• The alarm can be disarmed and the
car unlocked if you inadvertently press
the unlocking button on the remote
control while within range of the car.
• If you lock the car in very severe cold,
check that the doors lock properly.
The lock buttons on the doors should
all go down.
Failing this, unlock and then lock the
car again.
Movement sensor 3
The movement sensor monitors the cabin.
The alarm will be triggered if a movement
is detected, such as if someone sticks in
their arm through a smashed window.
Note:
The movement sensor could also be
triggered by an uninstalled cabin heater.
To prevent a false alarm, switch off the
movement sensor as described on page 57
when the cabin heater is to be used.

Tilt sensor 3

The tilt sensor monitors the angle of the car.
The tilt sensor will trigger the alarm if the
angle of the car changes relative to its angle
when it was locked, for example if it is raised
with a jack.
