Parking

WARNING
• Never leave a child or animal in the
car. In sunny weather the temperature
in the passenger and luggage com-
partments can climb to 70–80 °C.
• Park where the vehicle will not create
an obstruction or a hazard to other
road users.
• Never park the car in dry grass or on
other combustible material. The cata-
lytic converter gets very hot and could
therefore start a fire.
• Apply the handbrake, remove the
remote control from the ignition switch
and lock the car.
NOTICE
Empty the car yourself and bear in mind:
• never leave valuable items such as a
mobile phone, camera or computer
etc. visible in the car.
• clothing, packages and bags attract
thieves.
• do not leave small objects such as
CDs, sunglasses and coins visible in
the car.
• if possible, park in a well-lit,
conspicuous parking space.
• thieves strike whenever and wherever
they are given the opportunity.
Starting and driving
Parking on a hill
When parking on a steep hill, turn the front
wheels so that they will be blocked by the
kerb if the car should move.
If the car is parked with one front wheel
touching the kerb, for example, you may
need to turn the steering wheel slightly
when you insert the remote control to allow
the steering wheel lock to unlock.
