Tips on the Screen
Front projection screen for ceiling installation
The silver screen is recommended. You can get a picture that is two to four
times brighter than that of the white screen.

The rear projection screen is recommended for a bright and clear full-
screen picture projection since the sunlight has little effect on the screen.

• A moiré pattern may occur in accordance with the pitch of the screen.
• Be sure to confirm the picture quality before installation.
White screen
When viewers watch the projected picture in a wide area, you can obtain a
picture that appears equally bright from all parts of the room using the
white screen for both floor and ceiling installations.

Before Installing the Projector
Attaching the Lens
Attach one of the following types of optional lenses to
the projector according to your purpose.
• VPLL-2009 fixed short focus lens
• VPLL-2014 fixed short focus lens
• VPLL-Z2019 1.3-times zoom standard focus lens
• VPLL-Z2025 1.6-times zoom long focus lens
• VPLL-Z2039 1.5-times zoom long focus lens
• VPLL-2075 fixed long focus lens
To attach the lens, follow the steps below.
Before attaching the lens
The lens ring used for the lens and the attaching
method vary depending on the types of lenses. Check
your lens type by referring below.
Unit type lens ring (supplied with the
projector)
The unit type lens ring is used for the VPLL-Z2025,
VPLL-Z2039 and VPLL-2075.
Assembly type lens ring (attached to the
projector)
The assembly type lens ring is used for the VPLL-
2014, VPLL-2009 and VPLL-Z2019. For the VPLL-
2014 and VPLL-2009, disassemble the ring by
removing the screws before attaching.
For VPLL-Z2019, attach the lens ring without
disassembling.

Turn the screws on the lens attachment part either
clockwise or counterclockwise by 90 degrees with
a screwdriver, then remove the cover from the lens
attachment part.

Remove the lens ring and the lens hole cover.

Attach the lens ring to the lens.
For VPLL-Z2025, VPLL-Z2039 and VPLL-2075
This side faces
upward when

Attach the lens washer to the lens ring with the
four screws.
