Configure and Monitor Via PCs or Terminals

4.2 The 'Configuration'

This section describes procedures for configuration and connection of the
Tainet WANpro 2000 to the Internet / Intranet.
1. Initial Setup
The WANpro 2000 features a setup program that can be initiated and
run from an ASCII Terminal or a PCs Terminal Emulator program.
The user needs to make sure that the Terminal Emulator is currently
connected to the RJ-45 Console port on the WANpro 2000 back panel.
2. Connecting to the Terminal

The RJ-45 console port needs a DB25 adapter to be transferred
into the DB25 connector in order to make connection to the COM
port of the PCs or Terminals.

Set COM port to work at a baud rate of 19.2 Kbps, N,8,1.
Ø
Switch on the WANpro 2000 and you will see the following
screen.

The password could be up to eight digits in length. After key in
your password, the 'Enter' key is required.
