    INTRODUCTION 2.2 Applications The application of the Tainet’s WANpro 2000 is broad. It is based on the LAN and WAN network connectivity over a wide range of telephone line distances and transmission line qualities. The Figure 2.1 has shown the connection of the WANpro 2000 via the backbone of various DCE devices to the Internet or Intranet Applications.

    Configure and Monitor Via PCs or Terminals 4.1 Connect WANpro 2000 to PCs or Terminals The basic operation of the WANpro 2000 is similar to a normal PC. To view the whole operation, user can feel comfortable of using a PC’s monitor instead of the LCD panel.

    Tainet WANpro 2000 to the Internet / Intranet. 1. Initial Setup The WANpro 2000 features a setup program that can be initiated and run from an ASCII Terminal or a PCs Terminal Emulator program. The user needs to make sure that the Terminal Emulator is currently connected to the RJ-45 Console port on the WANpro 2000 back panel.

    (router). Routers often use dynamic routing to gain information on the location of the next hop for a connection. The Tainet WANpro 2000 supports two standard routing information protocols, RIP I and RIP II. The RIP I and RIP II routing protocols automatically exchange the routing information and they are used extensively throughout private IP networks and the Internet.
