CHOOSE COMPATIBLE HARD DRIVES
Please consider the following before adding hard drives to your LaCie 5big NAS Pro:
When adding new hard drives to the enclosure, consider
specially prepared and optimized for use with LaCie NAS.
If you are installing non-LaCie hard disks, please note that LaCie NAS are compatible with and should work
seamlessly with any SATA II or SATA III hard drive. Before adding a hard drive to the enclosure, LaCie
receommends that you check the list of supported
INSTALLATION STEPS
Step 1: Update the Firmware for the LaCie USB Key and Note the LaCie 5big NAS Pro's MAC Address
Your LaCie 5big NAS Pro shipped with a LaCie USB flash drive (Key). The USB Key will help you boot the LaCie
5big NAS Pro and format your hard drives. It can also help you troubleshoot the device (see
5big NAS Pro).
