10.1.3 Removing the battery

The CMOS battery is located on the system board near CPU2 and HDD1 (see
following figure).

Ê Press out on the locking spring to eject the depleted CMOS battery (see
arrow).
Ê Carefully pry the depleted CMOS battery out of its socket.
Ê Remove the CMOS battery.
