communication is not transmitted successfully, an error report is sent from
the server at no expense to the user. However, if a summarized report of
all communications, normal or otherwise, is desired, please contact a
service representative. This service is normally billed separately as an
additional charge.
For incomplete transmissions, please check the following:
If the destination telephone number is comprised of a dial prefix and
international telephone number only, the fax machine will not dial the
number, but display a dialling error.
If the Fax2Net server does not respond or is busy, the current commu-
nication is handled as a regular fax transmission and put into the dial-
ling queue.
If the information is not sent correctly or the account has expired, the
connection is interrupted and the fax machine displays a warning on
the control panel or sounds an audio alarm.
If CHECK ACCOUNT NO. is shown on the LCD display, the
account number may have been entered incorrectly. If the correct
number was entered, please contact the nearest service representative.
An alarm occurrence when switching to T.30 protocol is treated the
same as with normal G3 communications.
Communication with the Fax2Net server is not possible with Close
Network communications set to ON. Make sure the setting is OFF
when using Fax2Net function.

Normal telephone service connection

If the fax machine is connected directly to a normal telephone service
(PSTN) and the receiving faxe machine is located at an international desti-
nation, the communication will be transmitted via a general international
telephone circuit if a "+" sign is entered before or after the international
prefix number (i.e., Fax2Net will not be used).
For example: If the international prefix is 900 and the telephone number
entered is 900 81 3 1234 5678, the communication will be transmitted to
the receiving fax machine (81-3-1234-5678) via Fax2Net. However, if the
telephone number is entered as +900 81 3 1234 5678 or 900+ 81 3 1234
5678, the communication will be transmitted through the normal interna-
tional telephone circuit. Use this method if Fax2Net service is not
required.
