Appendix H - Fax2Net

Introduction

This appendix provides an explanation of the new Fax2Net Service func-
tions incorporated into this fax machine as well as the function program-
ming required before being able to use Fax2Net.
Fax2Net is a special fax communications service that gives users the
convenience of utilizing the combination of a fax machine and Internet to
send and receive data including e-mail messages and web page data. To
use this service requires an agreement between the user and a Fax2Net
Internet service provider who can offer this type of special fax communi-
cations.
Operations involving e-mail addresses and web page URLs require addi-
tional characters to enable such destinations to be registered into the fax
machine. Therefore, a number of the One-Touch keys and the Unique key
have had special characters assigned to them.

One-Touch keys

One-Touch key numbers 28 to 40 have been assigned special characters
for use when registering/entering e-mail addresses and web page URLs.
These keys can only be used to enter special characters when the Enter
Character screen is shown on the control panel LCD. Characters assigned
