Installing the Ribbon Cartridge

Before installing the ribbon cartridge, make sure that the
protective packing materials are removed and that the printer
is turned off. Remove the ribbon cartridge from its box and
plastic wrapper and then follow these steps:
1. Open the top cover by gently lifting its front edge up and
away from you.

Warning:
Never move the print head while the printer is turned on
because this can damage the printer. Also, if you have been
using the printer, the print head may be hot; let it cool for a
few minutes before touching
it.
