Initialization
There are three ways that the printer can be initialized (returned to a fixed
set of conditions) as listed in the table below.
These three kinds of initialization have slightly different effects. All three
methods reset the typestyle according to the default settings selected by
the DIP switches inside the front cover. However, ESC @ does not
initialize the printer mechanism, clear the input data buffer, or clear the
user-defined character set.
Top-of-form reset
The top-of-form (TOF) position is reset by:
Printer initialization
ESC/P software reset command (ESC @)
Page length set command (ESC C)
IBM mode top-of-form setting command (ESC4).
