Types of trouble and their solutions
Symptom
The power does not turn on.

Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• The battery pack is not installed, or is dead or nearly dead.
÷ Install a charged battery pack (p. 12, 13).
• The AC power adaptor is not connected to a wall outlet.
÷ Connect the AC power adaptor to a wall outlet (p. 16).
• The tape was ejected after recording when using a tape
without cassette memory (p. 32).
• You have not recorded on the new cassette vet.
• The tape has a blank portion in the beginning or middle.
