Purpose
Moves the scanner for-

measures the document
density.
The scanning lamp illu-
minates original, and the
reflected optical image is
transmitted to the photo-
sensitive drum through
mirrors and lens array.
The scanner is moved
back to the home position
to prepare for the next
copy.
Ensures discharge of the
last copy.
Waits until the Copy Start
key is pressed.
