    If the network is like the network environment shown in the illustration below, you can print with a few simple settings if you use NetBIOS protocol. By installing the software utility Canon LPR Port on each computer, you can also use TCP/IP protocol.

    If you are using a DHCP, BOOTP, or RARP server, selecting the IP address for the printer is not required. However, the IP address changes every time the printer is powered on, so in order to access the printer every time the printer is switched on, the IP address must be checked.
