Allows a proprietary telephone user to turn off the microphone for
privacy.
• The user's voice will only be muted during a hands-free conversation.
• The user can hear the other party's voice during Microphone Mute.

Microphone Mute (— for KX-TA30820/KX-TA30830 only)
This system supports a wide range of telephone sets, not only
Proprietary Telephones (PT) in the Advanced Hybrid System, but
also single line rotary telephones (10 pps/20 pps, using dial pulse
signals) and single line push-button dialing telephones (touch tone).
The hybrid method used in this system allows any telephone to be
connected to an extension modular jack without an adaptor.
• If a telephone is replaced with another one, the previous stored data
(such as button features) remains.
