Assigning Telephone Buttons
If the system includes a loudspeaker paging system, consider assigning a
programmed Loudspeaker Paging button to DLC positions for one-touch
access to the paging equipment. If the system has fewer than 30 lines, the
operator-only features (Alarm, Night Service, and Send/Remove Messages) are
factory-assigned as shown in Figure 3 6. The factory assignments can be
changed through centralized telephone programming or by a DLC operator.
Planning Form Instructions
Complete the Button Diagram page on each copy of Form 5a and Form 5b:
1. For the Ring and Voice buttons, circle SA or Icom.
2. Write the telephone number of the line/trunk you want to assign in the
space on the Button Diagram page. Record each line/trunk number (see
Form 2c).
3. Assign Alarm, Night Service, or Send/Remove Message buttons by
labeling the appropriate button
4. Assign programmed Loudspeaker Paging buttons by selecting the button
and writing
Proceed to Chapter 4, "Features," to complete the remaining sections of these
forms.
