Removing a filler panel
Nortel ships the Ethernet Routing Switch 8000 series chassis with a filler
panel covering each empty module slot.
On a 8006, 8010, 8306, or 8310 Chassis, the filler panel covers an empty
module slot.
Before you can clean, you must remove the appropriate filler panel.
To remove a filler panel:

CAUTION
Electrostatic discharge can damage hardware. Follow the
procedures in this section to protect your equipment from damage.

Fiber optic equipment can emit laser or infrared light that can
injure your eyes. Never look into an optical fiber or connector port.
Always assume that fiber optic cables are connected to a light
source.
