Monitoring network performance

You update and modify any automated scripts that monitor your network
performance. These scripts are in the language of your choice.

Managing faults

To display log information by file name, category, severity, or CPU, enter
the following CLI command:
show log file [tail] [name-of-file <value> ] [category
<value> ] [severity <value> ] [CPU <value> ] [save-to-file
<value> ]
show log file starts the log file from the first entry to the most recent
entry.
This command has the following options:
show log file [tail]
followed by:
tail
name-of-file
category,
severity, and
CPU
save-to-file

Displays the log file from the most recent to oldest
entry.
Displays the valid logs from the file name specified by
the user. This command cannot be used on the current
log file (the file into which the messages are currently
logged). For example the name of the file can be
/pcmcia/logcopy.txt.
Filters and lists the logs (individually or combined)
according to category, severity, and the CPU that
generated it.
value is the type of file as shown in
"SNMP category values" (page 92)
Redirects the output to a file specified and removes all
encrypted information. The tail option is not supported
with the save-to-file option.
