Using the Manual Feed Tray

Use the Manual feed tray to print transparencies,
labels, or envelopes in addition to making quick
runs of paper types or sizes that are not currently
loaded in the Multi-purpose tray.
In manual feed mode you must press the Operator
panel button each time you print a page.
The Manual feed tray feeds paper ranging in size
from A4 to Legal 14" and weights ranging from 16
pound to 43 pound.
Load paper, envelopes, transparencies and label
sheets one at a time into the Manual feed tray.
Loading Paper and Envelopes into
the Manual Feed Tray
1. Make sure the Multi-purpose tray cover is
properly attached.
2. Open the Manual feed tray guides.
Chapter 6: Using the Printer
3. Add the paper or envelope to be printed face
up. Adjust the paper guides with both hands
so that the sides of the paper are secure.
4. The Manual feed slot will take only one piece
of paper each time you press the Operator
panel button.
Note: Insert envelopes with the address
side facing up and the flap side facing
down and to the left.
