Replacing a Power Distribution Unit

Unscrew the two captive screws on the air filter door and swing the door down to

open it.
Remove the old air filter (if present).
4.
Insert the new filter by sliding it in on the shelf guides. Be sure the mesh side is facing

up.
Close the door, tighten the captive screws, and snap the bezel on.
6.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the screws.
To replace a power distribution unit (PDU):
Power down the router. See "Powering Down" on page 57.
1.
Remove the clear plastic guard covering the PDU.
2.
WARNING: Be sure the power source is turned off and all power switches
are in the OFF position.
Disconnect the power cables and grounding cables. See Figure 31 on page 75.
3.
With an appropriate screwdriver, loosen the screws located at the corners of the PDU.
4.
NOTE: Loosen the top and bottom thumbscrews (using a No. 2 Phillips
screwdriver, if necessary)
Using two hands, pull the PDU out of the chassis.
5.
Install the new PDU and tighten the screws.
6.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the screws.
Reconnect the power cables and grounding cables. See "Cabling the Router for Power"

Replace the clear plastic guard.
8.
Power up the router. See "Powering Up the Router" on page 55.
