However, the IGMP snooping operation usually requires an extra network device—normally a router—that
can generate an IGMP membership query and solicit interested nodes to respond. With the build-in IGMP
Querier feature inside the switch, such an external device is no longer needed.

Since the IGMP querier is designed to work with IGMP snooping, it is necessary to enable IGMP snooping
when using it.The following figure shows a network application for video streaming service using the IGMP
querier feature.

CLI: Enabling IGMP Querier
Use the following CLI commands to set up the switch to generate IGMP querier packet for a designated
VLAN. The IGMP packet will be transmitted to every ports on the VLAN. The following example enables
