Setting the Control Panel Default Mode

Setting the default start mode tells the product to enter either Fax or Copy mode when turned
on or when the settings on the control panel return to their defaults.
Using the Control Panel
1.
From the main screen, press the Menu/Select button to enter the

Scroll to the Default Mode
then press the Menu/Select button.
3. Select from the following options by using the Right Arrow or Left Arrow button.
: Starts in fax mode.
■ Fax
■ : Starts in copy mode.
Copy
4.
Press the Menu/Select button to save the settings.
Using the MFP ControlCentre
1. Open the MCC, connect to your product and download the current .dat file.

Click the Menu button.
3.
Select the Machine Setup tab.
4.
Under Default Mode, select Fax or Copy, and then click OK.
5.
Click the Upload button to save the new settings to the product.
