Causes
Remote BIOS update
attempt failed.
NVRAM_CLR jumper is
installed in the clear setting.
CMOS has been cleared.
The processor speed may be
intentionally set lower for
power conservation.
Mismatched processors have
been installed in the system.
Corrective Actions
Retry the BIOS update. If
problem persists, see
"Getting Help" on page 203.
Move the NVRAM_CLR
jumper to the default
position (pins 3 and 5). See
Figure 6-1 for jumper
location. Restart the system
and re-enter the BIOS
settings. See "Using the
System Setup Program and
UEFI Boot Manager" on
page 63.
If not an intentional setting,
check any other system
messages for possible causes.
Ensure that all processors
have the same cache size,
number of cores and logical
processors, and power rating.
Ensure that the processors
are properly installed. See
"Processors" on page 148.
