Application settings

Creating keyboard shortcuts
You can create keyboard shortcuts for
applications you use frequently so that you
can quickly access them. On your
smartphone, shortcuts are called speed
dials.
1 Press Home
Start
2 Highlight the application for which you
want to create a shortcut. If necessary,
press More
application you want is displayed.

3 Press Menu

select Add Speed Dial.
4 (Optional) To change the name of this
shortcut, select Name and enter the
new name.

5 Select the Keypad assignment list and
then select the key you want to assign
to this application.

already assigned to another application. An
alert appears, asking you to confirm that you
want to replace the existing application with
the new one.The number 0 is reserved for
entering the + symbol in a phone number, and
the number 1 is reserved for dialing your
voicemail system. You cannot assign either of
these numbers as a speed dial.
6 Press Done
(left softkey).
To access the application, press and hold
the shortcut key.
To view all your current shortcuts, press
TIP
Home, press Start (left softkey), press More
(left softkey) twice, and then select Speed
Dial. To delete a shortcut, highlight the
shortcut you want to delete, press Menu
(right softkey), and then select Delete. Press
Yes (left softkey) to confirm the deletion.
You can also create speed dials to quickly

dial a contact's phone number (see Creating
speed dials).
