Troubleshooting

This section describes countermeasures for temporary hardware problems. Check the
malfunction in this section before sending the hardware for repair.
Problem
POWER indicator not lit.
Device restarts during
operation.
Judgements not output to
external device.
No input signal received.
No communications with
personal computer or Pro-
grammable Controller.
Strange linear output lev-
els.
Nothing displayed on main
display or sub-display.
The main display remains
on "----".
Probable cause and possible countermeasure
• Is the power supply device connected correctly?
• Is the supply voltage below the rated range (12 to 24 VDC ± 10%)?
• Is the power supply device connected correctly?
• Are the Interface and Calculating Units connected correctly?
• Are all cables connected correctly?
• Is the signal line disconnected?
• Are the judgement hold or reset inputs short-circuited?
• Are all cables connected correctly?
• Is the signal line disconnected?
• Is the cable connected correctly?
• Is the Interface Unit connected correctly?
• Is the switch under the Interface Unit on the side without the tab?
• Is the connector pin arrangement correct?
• Is the switch on the bottom of the Amplifier Unit set to the correct position?
• Has the correct selection (voltage/current) been made in the monitor focus
settings?
• Linear output levels can be fine-tuned.
• Has the number of display digits been set to zero?
• Has timing been input properly with a P-H, B-H, S-H, or PP-H hold enabled?
• Has the self-trigger level been set to an appropriate value with an SP-H or
SB-H hold enabled?
