Mapping I/O Data

Example
The I/O Configuration can now be mapped on to the PROFIBUS Master Unit.
The CS1/CJ1W-PRM21 PROFIBUS Master Unit provides a means to map
individual I/O Configuration modules to specific memory areas.
For information on how to map the I/O data on to the PLC memory, refer to the
CS1/CJ1 PROFIBUS Master unit Operation Manual (W409).
As an example, the I/O mapping of the I/O Configuration made using the
Generic Slave DTM is shown in the window below.
The window above shows the SmartSlice I/O Input data, mapped on to CIO
3305 to 3308. The first row indicates the COM Status word, the second row
indicates the GRT1-ID Units, the third and fourth rows indicate the GRT1-AD2
Input data.
After setting up the I/O Configuration, it needs to be downloaded to the Master
Unit, which is described in the CS1/CJ1 PROFIBUS Master unit Operation
Manual (W409). After download, the Master Unit needs to be switched to
OPERATE mode, in order for it to start establishing communication.
