Replace an Intuvo 9000 GC Nickel or Polyimide Gasket

WA RNING
Maintaining Your GC
Use Intuvo gaskets when replacing a column, detector chips,
inlet chips, and detector tails. The gasket sits between the
Intuvo 9000 GC inlet or detector chip and the GC column or
other component. Gasket replacement is performed as part of
another procedure, for example, column replacement.
Use polyimide gaskets for applications with temperatures
≤ 350 °C. For higher temperature applications, use nickel
gaskets.
Agilent recommends replacement of all Intuvo flow path parts
(flow chips, columns, and detector tail) when changing between
polyimide gaskets and nickel gaskets.
The inlet, detector, bus components, and column can be hot
enough to cause burns. Cool heated zones to a safe handling
temperature before continuing.

This procedure assumes you have already removed the
column or other item that sits on the gasket. If not, remove it
now. Refer to the links below to prepare the GC for
maintenance and to remove the column or flow chip.
