ISOTOP IGBT REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel. Unauthorized
repairs performed on this equipment may result in danger to the technician or machine operator and will
invalidate your factory warranty. For your safety and to avoid electrical shock, please observe all safety

TEST DESCRIPTION
This procedure will aid the technician in the removal and replacement of the

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Carefully remove input power from the FlexCut 200 machine.
2. Perform the Case Cover Removal Procedure.
3. Perform the Capacitor Discharge Procedure.
4. Perform the Pilot Board Removal Procedure.
5. Using a 7/64" Allen wrench, remove the two screws, lock washers and flat washers securing the
isotop IGBT to the heat sink. See Figure F.100. Note orientation for reassembly.

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. Apply a thin coating of Dow Corning 340 heat sink compound to the mating surface of the isotop
IGBT.
2. Carefully position the new isotop IGBT onto the heat sink with the slut facing up. See Figure F.101.
3. Using a 7/64" Allen wrench, attach the two screws, lock washers and flat washers securing the
isotop IGBT to the heat sink.
4. Perform the Pilot Board Replacement Procedure.
