PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
The cutting arc starts but
sputters badly.
The pilot arc starts but the arc
will not transfer to the work
piece to establish a cutting arc.
If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the test/repairs safely, contact the
Lincoln Electric Service Department for electrical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed. Call 1-888-935-3877.
POSSIBLE AREAS OF
MISADJUSTMENT(S)
OUTPUT PROBLEMS
1. Check the torch
consumables.
2. Make sure the work clamp is
connected tightly to the work
piece.
3. Make sure the air pressure is
correct.
4. The torch may be faulty.
5. Verify the correct input
voltage is being applied to the
machine.
