USER SCREEN MODE
The position and size of displayed objects is set either in the EDIT MODE or by using the screen
creation software. This section deals principally with the display format for objects that have already
been set.
4.3.1
Screen position
The display position for each object is specified in dot units and the objects can be displayed anywhere
on the screen. TEXT and BAR GRAPH objects are an exception; their position on the X axis is
determined in 8-dot units.

Objects input as characters are called TEXT. TEXT is used for framed messages to the operator,
including operation displays and error displays.

Counting displayed objects
Within the same character string, text items having the same magnification factor are counted
as one object. One-byte and two-byte characters can be included in the same object.

Since use of a large number of objects will take up a lot of screen capacity, you are recom-
mended to use the same magnification as much as possible to keep the number of objects low.
