Resistor in parallel with input contact
The voltage drop caused by the diode must be kept within a
maximum of 4 volts. Accordingly, when series reed switches
with LEDs are used, no more than two can be connected in
series.

Setting of input equipment
The input current of the FX-40DU-E is 7 mA, 24V DC.
It is therefore necessary to use input
equipment suitable for use with this extremely small current.
Examples: Made by Omron
Microswitches:
Z, V and D2RV models
Operation switches:
A3P model
Proximity switches:
TL and E2M models
Photoelectric switches: E3S and E3N models
Use of switches that use large currents may lead to contact faults.

The resistor in parallel Rp must have a resistance of at least
15KR.
If the resistance is less than this value, a bleeder resistor Rb,
having a resistance determined by the equation below, must
be connected between the [24+] and [IN] terminals.
The current leakage

from two-wire proximity switches
when they are switched OFF must be kept within 1.5 mA. If
the current leakage exceeds this value, a bleeder resistor
with a resistance determined by the equation below must be
connected between the [24+] and [IN] terminals.
