When all settings are completed the message SETTING? will be displayed. If the setting is
correct, press the [ENTER] key at OK to register it. To change the settings, select CANCEL
and press the [ENTER] key; this will enable setting from INPUT again.

DATA BANK
Described here is the procedure for modifying a DATA BANK object. After selecting the DATA
BANK object to be modified, select MODIFY OBJECT; the screen shown below will be displayed.

(a) INPUT
Set the input that will initiate transfer of the data bank data. The inputs that can be specified
are listed below.

(b) DATA BANK NO.
Set the number of the data bank whose data is to be transferred
Possible data bank No. settings: 0 to 3999
(c) DIRECTION
Set the direction in which the data is t o be transfered. Either from the FX-40DU-E t o the PLC
or to the FX-40DU-E from the PLC.
(d) Registration
When all settings are completed the message SETTING? will be displayed. If the setting is
correct, press the [ENTER] key at OK to register it. However, if a data bank No. corresponding
to a data bank which does not exist is input, the error message "SETTING IS INCORRECT"
will be displayed. If this happens, input a data bank No. corresponding to an existing data
bank. (Data banks are created using the screen creation software).
