Checking the Blade-Stop Time

1. Engage the cutting units and pull the lift lever to raise the cutting units.
2. Observe the time between the raise command and when all reels have stopped
spinning.
Note:

Backlapping the Cutting Units

Contact with the cutting units or other moving parts could result in death or serious
injury.
• Keep your fingers, hands, and clothing away from the cutting units and other
moving parts.
• Never attempt to turn the cutting units by hand or foot while the engine is running.

Preparing the Machine
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. With the engine off, but the key in the R
InfoCenter display.
3. From the Main Menu, scroll down to Service and press the select button.
4. In Service, scroll down to Front Backlap and Rear Backlap. Press the right navigation
button to turn the desired set of cutting units from O
5. Make initial reel-to-bedknife adjustments appropriate for backlapping on all cutting units
which are to be backlapped.
Lapping the Reels and Bedknife
1. Start the engine and run at low idle speed.
Changing the engine speed while backlapping may cause the cutting units to stall,
which could result in death or serious injury.
• Never change the engine speed while backlapping.
• Backlap only at idle engine speed.
Maintenance: Cutting Unit Maintenance
If the time is more than 7 seconds, contact your Authorized Service Dealer.
