Leakage current test
This test measures the contact current of touchable metallic parts on the coffee
machine. The coffee machine has to be switched on for this test.
Test procedure
1. The coffee machine is assembled completely and has passed the earth leakage
current test. The capsule holder is removed.
2. Connect power plug of coffee machine to test equipment (A).
3. Switch on test equipment (B) and select leakage current test.
4. Switch on coffee machine (D).
5. Touch needle at underside of extraction head (see detail) with test probe.
6. Press start button (C) and read off displayed leakage current.
7. Switch off coffee machine.
8. If possible reverse power plug of coffee machine, connect it to test equipment
again and repeat measurements.
The leakage current of each metallic part must be lower than 0.5 mA.
