TROUBLESHOOTING

Any of the following fail to light: headlights, high beam indicator light, taillight, auxiliary lights or meter
light.
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Front upper panel
2. Rear covers
3. Fuse box cover
4. Center cover
5. Upper handlebar cover
6. Storage box
1. Check the condition of each bulb
and bulb socket.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS
AND BULB SOCKETS" on page
8-58.

2. Check the fuses.
(Main, headlight, signaling system
and backup)
Refer to "CHECKING THE FUS-
ES" on page 8-59.

3. Check the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY" on
page 8-60.

4. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-55.

5. Check the dimmer/pass switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-55.

6. Check the headlight relay.
Refer to "CHECKING THE RE-
LAYS" on page 8-63.

Replace the bulb(s) and bulb socket(s).

Replace the fuse(s).
NG →
• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Replace the main switch.
NG →
• The dimmer switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.
NG →
Replace the headlight relay.
