INSTALLING THE ENGINE

1. Install:
• Stoppers "1"
• Collars "2"
(to the engine "3")
2. Install:
• Engine bracket "4"
• Engine mounting bolts/nuts (rear side) "5"
• Engine mounting bolts/nuts (front side) "6"
(to the engine "3")
TIP
Do not fully tighten the nuts.
3. Tighten:
• Engine mounting nuts (front side) "6"
Engine mounting nut (front side)
50 Nm (5.0 m·kgf, 36 ft·lbf)
TIP
With the stoppers "1", collars "2", engine bracket
"4", and engine mounting bolts/nuts (rear side)
"5" positioned as shown in the illustration, tighten
the engine mounting nut (front side) on the right
side, and then tighten the nut on the left side.

4. Tighten:
• Engine mounting nuts (rear side) "5"
Engine mounting nut (rear side)
28 Nm (2.8 m·kgf, 20 ft·lbf)
5. Install:
• Engine bracket bolt/nut "7"
TIP
Do not fully tighten the nut.
6. Install:
• Rear shock absorber assemblies "8"

7. Tighten:
• Engine bracket nut "7"
Engine bracket nut
TIP
Before tightening the engine bracket nut, place
the vehicle on the centerstand so that the rear
wheel is elevated.
8. Check:
• Stoppers installation

a. Raise the centerstand so that the rear wheel
is on the ground.
b. Make sure that the stoppers "1" are not touch-
ing the engine "3".

28 Nm (2.8 m·kgf, 20 ft·lbf)
16 Nm (1.6 m·kgf, 12 ft·lbf)
54 Nm (5.4 m·kgf, 39 ft·lbf)
