Component Access & Removal
Door Handle Removal
To remove the door handle, remove oven door assem-
bly and outer door skin assembly:
1. Extract the two screws from door handle mounting
bracket assembly that secure the inside panel to
the outer skin. The bottom of the inside panel is
secured with double sided tape to the glass of the
outer skin. (See Figure 4-4).
2. Extract the four screws from door handle mounting
bracket assembly that secure the door handle to
the outer skin. (See Figure 4-5).
Glass Pack Removal
NOTE: There are different screws sizes. Make sure
the proper length screws are in the correct places when
reassembling or damage to porcelain lining will occur.
To remove the glass pack, remove oven door assembly
and outer door skin assembly:
1. Extract the screws at the top of heat shield and
remove. (See Figure 4-6).
2. Carefully remove insulation from around glass pack.
3. Extract the screws from the top of inner heat shield
and remove. Lift the top of the glass pack up slight-
ly while pulling it out from under the bottom tabs
and remove.
Spring Hinge Removal
To remove the spring hinge, remove the oven door
assembly and outer door skin assembly:
1. Extract the two screws at the bottom corner of the
door liner. (See Figure 4-7).
2. Extract screw securing hinge assembly to inner
door assembly and remove.
