UNIQUE ELECTRONIC CONTROL INPUT OPERATIONS

The following few pages illustrate electronic control input operations that you would not expect a customer to per-
form everyday. The input operations described are: User Option Mode, Sabbath Mode, Delayed Start Mode, Probe
Mode and Self-Clean Mode.

User Option Mode

The user option mode is activated by pressing and holding the SET CLOCK key for 3 seconds. If the control is cur-
rently in an entry mode, or in an active cooking mode, pressing and holding the SET CLOCK key for 3 seconds will
result in an invalid key press. The user will be notified of the user option mode entry and shall be prompted to set
preferences for the language selection, temperature offset, temperature units, clock display, LED backlight bright-
ness and beeper tone. The user option flow is described below. The valid keys are listed below, pressing any other
keys will result in an invalid entry beep. If no user actions are seen for 1 minute, the mode will time out and return
to Idle mode.

NAVIGATION

ENTER Key: Moves to the next selection in the order described below, saving any changes. If at the last selection,
returns to the first selection.
CLEAR Key: Moves to the previous selection. Any changes made to the current selection are discarded. If the
current selection is the first (language), returns to idle mode.
OFF Key: Either OFF key will exit User Settings Menu and return to Idle. Any changes made to the current selec-
tion are discarded.

Language Selection

Upon entry into user option mode, the LILA will display "SELECT LANGUAGE: (ENGLISH - 1, GERMAN - 2,
FRENCH – 3, SPANISH – 4, ITALIAN - 5) PRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE". The selected language will be dis-
played in the Upper Information Line. Pressing ENTER will cause the user option mode to advance to the next step.

Temperature Display Preference

Upon entry into this step, the user will be prompted with the following message: "SELECT TEMPERATURE UNITS.
(PRESS 1 – F, PRESS 2 – C), OR PRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE". "CENTIGRADE" or "FAHRENHEIT" will be
displayed in the URL area as appropriate. Pressing ENTER will cause the user option mode to advance to next
step.
