6.1 Interface to the energy storage management system
6.1.1
Selection of operator interface
Three operator stations are available. SIMOCRANE ESSM is controlled via the remote PLC as
standard. It is possible to switch to the "Local" and "Service" modes from the local operator panel
for the purpose of maintenance, service or commissioning measures.
The Service function offers further setting options in addition to those of "Local" mode.
The selection is made as shown in the sequence diagram below.

Limits/setpoints
In "Local" mode, the setpoints set by the higher-level control are used. The ESS can be operated
from the HMI using these limits/setpoints.
The "Commissioning Setpoints" that have already been set are visible in the "Commissioning
window" when "Local" is selected (default: 0, 0, 0 ..., before other values are set for the first
time). However, the "Remote" values which are now no longer visible are operational. The values
can be preset in this way before switching to "Commissioning".
