inNrOfDCPSInSystem[X]

This input describes the number of SINAMICS DCPs that are actually present in the hardware
(0-8). All the potentially available SINAMICS DCP units are set up in the hardware configuration
of the ESS IF PLC as standard. This is a basic requirement for use of the SIMOCRANE ESSM Step7
library. Should only 2 SINAMICS DCPs be physically present, for example, enter a 2 here. Unused
devices in the hardware configuration are deactivated during startup. This prevents bus errors. A
change in the physically present devices only becomes active after restarting the ESS IF PLC.
Note
Testing the validity of the license
In order to test the validity of the license before commissioning, the parameter can be set to "0"
for testing. Then check the message system to see if an indication regarding insufficient
licensing (Faults.Fault_Sequencer.Bit17) is displayed. If this is not visible, the license is valid.

Use this input to select the type of SINAMICS DCP device you are using:
• 1 = 120 kW SINAMICS DCP
Note
Mixed operation is not permitted
It is not permissible to use different SINAMICS DCP device types together. The energy storage
system with SIMOCRANE ESSM is not ready for operation if the parameterization or hardware
selection is incorrect.
Note
Identical firmware version/identical device class
All SINAMICS DCPs must have the same firmware version and the same device class.
