Answering Calls
Call Type
Direct Call
A call that has been routed directly to you.
Forwarded Call
A call that has been forwarded from
another user's to you.
Group Call
A call to a group of which you are a
member.
Transferred Call
A call to another user which they are now
transferring to you.
Returning Call
A call that you answered and then left
parked or on hold for too long.

Answering a New Call

A slow flashing red lamp on an appearance button indicates an alerting call. This may also be
accompanied by ringing and by the message lamp flashing.
• Note: This guide assumes that auto hold is enabled (the default). The system administrator
can disable auto hold for the system, in which case calls are automatically disconnected
rather than held.
Procedure
1. If you are not already on a call, you can answer the alerting call in the following ways:
• To answer the call using the handset, lift the handset.
