I Have Problems Sending and Receiving Email
Short periods of time when email is unavailable are common due to server
problems or poor wireless coverage. If you have problems sending or receiving
mail for an extended period of time, check with your ISP or email service provider
to verify that the service is working properly, and check with Sprint Customer
Service for outage information in your area.
Auto Sync Is Not Working
If Auto Sync is occurring and you turn your device off or the connection to your
email service provider is disconnected, the Auto Sync fails.
Check the synchronization schedule to make sure that Auto Sync is set to
occur at the expected day and time (see "Setting the Synchronization
Schedule" on page 265 for details).

If you are able to receive email messages but cannot send them, try these steps,

Make sure your ISP or email provider allows you to access email on a smart

their SMTP servers.
