Screw on the longer pin by hand. Tighten the assembly using the special pliers.

Continue with the connector reassembly procedure.
Connector reassembly procedure
NOTE Be sure all surfaces are clean and dry.
1. Holding the pin and bead assembly by the bead, insert the long end into the connector
body. Slight resistance may be felt as the female end of the center conductor mates with
the male end of the connector body. Take care to assure that they are properly mated.
2. Carefully place the outer nut over the pin and bead assembly; start the threads and
screw on until finger tight.
3. Use the 1/2-inch torque wrench to tighten the nut to 25 inch-lbs.
4. Remeasure the center conductor depth with collet removed.
5. Install the collet.
