8. Port 1 Extension Cable. This cable may be removed and an amplifier put in its place.
The input to the amplifier is supplied by the
output of the amplifier is applied to the
the RF signal after the switch splitter, to supply high power to port 1 for reflection
measurements. If a high power transmission measurement is made, either an
attenuator or isolation amplifier must be put in place of the port 2 extension cable.
The extension cable will also provide access to the RF signal path for other signal
conditioning devices and measurement instruments.
9. Port 2 Extension Cable. Performs the same function as the port 1 extension cable, but
for port 2.
