2 Unpack the server, and ensure you have all the items you
need.
3 Remove the server cover, and inspect the interior.
4 Replace the server cover.
5 Place the HMS 400 server in the chosen location.
6 Connect the HMS 400 server and devices as follows:
Connect the monitor, keyboard, and mouse
Connect the modem
Connect the HMS 400 server to the hub (for Multi server
Configuration)
Connect the HMS 400 server to the customer LAN hub
(temporary connection for Downloading of PEPs)
Install the security lock
Connect the power cords for all devices, and then power
them up

7 If 3 party modem has DIP switches, please follow the
Modem's Installation guide to set them up correctly (Nortel
provided modem doesn't have DIP switches)
8 Start up the HMS 400 server
