5.3.7 Clean the printer
When to perform?
The printer must be cleaned monthly.
•
Be sure to power OFF the printer and unplug the power cable from the outlet before cleaning
the printer.
•
Do not use thinner, benzene, alcohol or other active agents. Doing so may result in damage or
paint peeling from the casing.
•
Be careful not to spill liquid inside the printer. Doing so may result in a short circuit.
•
Never open the covers fixed with screws. Doing so may result in electrical shock or
malfunctioning of the printer.
(1) Cleaning the outer case
Remove dust or smudges on the outer case with a soft cloth.
(2) Cleaning the inside of the printer
Step 1 :
Open the front cover.
Step 2 :
Use a soft brush to carefully clean away any dust or dirt.
•
Do not blow off fabric dust inside the printer using compressed air. Doing so may cause noise to
occur from inside the printer.
•
Please only use Mutoh water based textile cleaning liquid or cleaning liquid recommended by
the ink supplier.
•
Use a damp cloth to clean the printer. Don't make the cloth too wet, it may not drip.

Wipe with a humid tissue on the pinch roller while it is turning.
