* NOTE Water damage from fording
Water can enter the engine bay and the vehi-
cle interior in the following cases:
The maximum permissible fording depth

for driving through standing water is
exceeded.
A bow wave forms during fording.

Water pools when fording moving water.

Do not exceed the maximum permissible

fording depth.
Drive slowly through the water.

Keep in mind that driving through moving

water reduces the permissible fording
depth due to the pooling of water.

Notes on the angle of approach/departure
The specified values are maximum values for vehi-
cles that are in ready-to-drive loading condition.
The values depend on the vehicle tyres and vehi-
cle weight.
