I N S T A L L STI F F E N I N G PLATE
(a ) Remove any oil packing m a t e ri a l a n d b e careful n O t to
drop any oil on the contacting surfaces o f the stiffen­
i n g plate and cylinder block.
• U sing a razor blade and gasket scraper, remove a l l
t h e ol
surfaces and s e a l i n g groove.
• Thoroughly clean a l l c o m p o n e n t s to remove all t h e
l o o s e m a t e r i a l
• Clean b o t h sealing surfaces w i t h
s o l v e n t .
C A U T I O N :

Seal packing:
• I n s t a l l a n o z z l e t h a i h a s been c u t to t h e 3 mm
(0. 1 2 i n . ! opening.
N O T E :
B e especially careful near oil passages,
• Parts m u s t be assembled within 1 5 m i n u t e s o f
a p p l i c a t i o n .
