Afler removing and reins t a l l i n g the injection pump and fuel
hoses, clean olf the fuel on e n g i n e components. I n par­
licu lar, b e sure to check t h e radiator hose and by-pass
hose, because they delerio r a t e e a s i l y i f Ihey come into
conlacl wilh f u el
When steam cleaning a n engIne, protect t h e a i r filter
a n d injection p u m p from water.
Never use a n i m pact wrench to remove or install t h er­
m o switches o r t h e rmo sensors.
When checking c o n t i n u i l y
i n s ert the tester probe carefu lly t o preven t t e rmi n a l s
from bend i n g .
W h e n u s i n g a v a c u u m g a u g e , n e v e r f o r c e the h o s e
onlo a connec t o r thai is 100,large. U s e a slep-down
adapter instead. O n c e t h e h o s e h a s been stretched, it
may leak.
