2. Install:
Brake pads
Pad spring
Installation steps:
Connect a suitable hose 1 tightly to the cali-
per bleed screw 2. Put the other end of this
hose into an open container.
Loosen the caliper bleed screw and push the
SEJ4520
pistons into the caliper with your finger.
Tighten the caliper bleed screw 2.
Bleed screw 2:
Install the brake pads and pad spring.
NOTE:
The tangs a of the pad spring must point in the
direction of the disc rotation.

3. Inspect:
Brake fluid level
Refer to "BRAKE FLUID LEVEL INSPEC-
TION" in CHAPTER 2.
4. Check:
Brake lever operation
A soft or spongy feeling → Bleed brake
system.
Refer to "AIR BLEEDING (HYDRAULIC
BRAKE SYSTEM)" in CHAPTER 2.
